STRUCTURAL HOME INSPECTION

During our home inspection we will inspect the roof based on coverings, roof drainage systems, flashings and roof penetrations and ventilations.   

An exterior wall inspection includes, wall structure, wall penetrations, exterior windows, exterior doors, entry porch, electrical service and exterior foundation.  

Exterior grounds include inspection of walkways, patios and driveways as well as vegetation, grading, drainage and retaining walls. We will also look at A/C compressor.   

Garage inspection includes garage roof covering, roof drainage systems, siding flashing and trim, automobile or non-automobile doors, garage windows, electrical, walls and floors.   

Attic inspection includes general inspection of attic along with structure and framing, ventilation and insulation.  

Kitchen Inspection includes countertops and cabinets, electrical components, dishwasher, kitchen sink, refrigerator, range/oven/cooktop, built-in microwave and floors.   

Bath inspection includes ventilation, electrical components, fixtures, heating/cooling source and floors. Laundry inspection includes general inspection alongside washer/dryer, laundry sink and electrical components.  

General interior includes walls and ceilings, floors, interior doors, windows, steps, stairways and railings, electrical components, smoke detectors and CO detectors.   

Plumbing inspection includes main water supply and shut off, water supply and distribution pipes, drain, waste and vent pipes, domestic water heater, fuel storage and distribution pipes and sump pumps.   

Basement/crawlspace inspection includes ventilation, foundation walls for water damage, cracks and movement   

Electrical inspection includes service panels, branch wiring, outlets, light fixtures and switches, GFCI and AFCI.   

Heat/AC inspection includes any furnace, boiler, electric heaters, etc, as well as distribution systems.
